New leader for Child and Family Services
Maria Gagnon of Brookline was named senior vice president/chief operating officer of the organization.
Gagnon was manager of corporate and foundation relations at FIRST, inventor Dean Kamen's organization promoting student interest in science and technology.
Gagnon has focused on child and family well-being through private counseling agencies, the district court system and New Futures and served as executive director of the Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County.
Gagnon earned a master's degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire.
