SNHU upsets Franklin Pierce for NE-10 men's hoop title
Sixth-seeded Southern New Hampshire University completed its improbable run to the Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball championship Saturday with an 85-74 victory over host Franklin Pierce University in Rindge.
Led by clutch shot maker B.J. Cardarelli's 23 points, the Penmen (19-10) won their sixth straight game and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament, which begins on Saturday.
The NCAA selection show is Sunday at 10:30 p.m..
