SUNAPEE – Voters passed a $975,000 bond article to design construct and furnish a new town library on Sargent Road and Route 11.
The bond article that required a three-fifths vote, passed with 601 votes to 380.
Forty-two percent, or 996 voters, of the town's 2,388 registered voters turned out Tuesday.
All other articles passed, including the proposed $6,017,716 budget, which represents a less than one percent increase over last year's budget.
In a race for two three-year terms on the Select Board, Frederick C. Gallup, with 697, and Emma M. Smith, with 515 votes won the seats. Veronica Hastings received 362 votes.
The proposed $10,696,896 school district budget passed, 570 to 293. The budget represents a less than one percent increase over last year's.
A request to raise $270,000 to enlarge and renovate the Art Room at the Sunapee Middle High School failed 413 to 533.
