Torr, Khan win selectmen seats in Meredith

MEREDITH – Nathan Torr and longtime budget committee member Louis Khan won two seats on the board of selectmen, defeating Jayne L. Greemore in voting Tuesday.
Torr had 588 votes, Khan had 440 votes, and Greemore had 270 votes.
Three articles recommended by the planning board passed overwhelmingly.
The first article, which asked to undesignate the Hawkins Brook wetland complex as a "Prime Wetland," passed, 530 to 164.
The second article, which pertained to changes in the Water Resources Conservation Overlay District, also passed, 530 to 164.
The third article, pertaining to water and sewer usage in the central business district, passed 521-166.
