Seacoast Episcopal churches set Holy Week, Easter schedule
The Shared Ministry of Christ Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, and Trinity Episcopal Church, Hampton, has announced its Holy Week and Easter Schedule.
On Palm Sunday, March 24, the Liturgy of the Palms will be offered, beginning with the Blessing of the Palms and Procession, in each church. The 8:45 a.m. liturgy will be at Trinity Church, 200 High St., Hampton; the 10:30 a.m. service will be at Christ Church, 1035 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth.
On Maundy Thursday, March 28, the Liturgy of Maundy Thursday, with the washing of feet, the commemoration of the Last Supper, and the stripping of the altar in preparation for Good Friday, will be celebrated at Christ Church at 7 p.m.
On Good Friday, March 29, the Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday will be offered at Trinity Church at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m., the celebration of the Resurrection begins with the Great Vigil of Easter, a dramatic service that abounds in ancient imagery.
On Easter Day, March 31, two festive celebrations of the Holy Eucharist are planned. The first, at 8:45 a.m., will be at Trinity Church. At the second, 10:30 a.m. service, at Christ Church, a full choral Eucharist will be celebrated.

St. Patrick's Day dinner is Saturday
St. Margaret of Scotland Anglican Church will hold its 4th annual traditional, family-oriented St. Patrick's Day dinner on Saturday, March 16, in the Chamberlain Parish Hall under the Church building.
There will be two sittings, one at 5 and one at 6 p.m. Take-out orders will be available between 3:30 and 4:30 only. Reservations are required.
The menu will feature traditional corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, stout marinated onions, turnips, carrots, Irish soda bread and coffee, tea and juice. There will also be a raffle. The meal is being prepared by Jim Harrington, who has prepared the dinner for the last several years.
Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and children under 12, and $24 for a family up to 4. Advance tickets are preferred and take out orders will be available. Call 539-8292 for tickets.
On Sunday, the parish will remember St. Patrick at the 9:30 a.m. service with traditional liturgy and music from the Church's Celtic heritage.
The church is at 85 Pleasant St., Conway. The Rev. Jeffrey Monroe MM is Rector, and the Rev. Mr. Harry E. Wellsman is Deacon.
