Forbes: Should states compensate ponzi scheme victims? Montana and N.H. think so
Recent legislation in two states would allow victims to recoup a portion of their losses through the creation of special state-regulated funds. In both New Hampshire and Montana, legislators have proposed setting aside a portion of funds collected by state securities regulators for the purpose of providing partial compensation to fraud victims.
