Police say Nashua man hit boy with belt, bruising him

NASHUA - A city man is charged with second-degree assault, accused of bruising a boy when he hit him in the leg with a belt.

Paul A. Williams, 18, of 11 Salem St., Apt. B, was arrested Saturday night on the class B felony charge.

Police said Williams knows the boy, who is under the age of 13. If convicted, Williams faces a maximum sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in prison.

What's next: Williams is being held on $2,000 cash/surety bail pending arraignment Monday in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
