Dr. Dre headphones snatched up by Manchester shoplifter

MANCHESTER - A man walked off with more than $1,000 worth of headphones Wednesday from the Verizon store on South Willow Street.

The thief, who identified himself as "Danny," entered the 1111 S. Willow St. store about 10:30 a.m. and began looking at some merchandise. Police said he waited until a clerk and other customers were distracted and grabbed four sets of "Beats by Dr. Dre" wireless headphones and fled out the door with them.

He is described as a white man in his 20s with brown hair, wearing a red fleece jacket and a red and black fitted cap. He reportedly left in a blue Dodge Durango.

Witnesses were able to give police a partial New Hampshire plate number of 333 for the Dodge.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 668-8711. Anonymous tips for cash rewards may be made through Manchester Crimeline at 624-4040 or online at manchestercrimeline.org .
