Peterborough's July fireworks show canceled over school system's unwillingness to share field

The town’s annual Independence Day fireworks show, put on by the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, will not happen this year, after a decision by the Conval Regional School Board to allow the high school athletic fields only to be used for sporting events, said Jack Burnett, executive director of chamber.
