Merrimack liquor theft brings woman's arrest

MERRIMACK - One of two women who allegedly stole about $240 worth of liquor from a local store on Sunday have been arrested.

Police said Alice Hauser, 39, of 144 Pearl St., in Manchester, walked into the New Hampshire Liquor Store in Merrimack on Sunday with another woman, and allegedly left with several products they had not paid for.

Hauser was arrested on Monday and charged with theft involving willful concealment. She was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned at the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack.

"The matter is still under investigation by Merrimack police, and additional arrests may be forthcoming," police said in a release.
