Former UNH associate head coach candidate to replace fired Denver Pioneers coach

Gwozdecky, who won two national championships at Denver, said before the season was over he thought a contract extension was forthcoming. Instead, he was let go Monday after 19 seasons. The school will pay the remaining year on his contract, according to two sources.
