$5.1M award from lawsuit helps boost LRGHealthcare into the black

The positive results reflect the impact of the settlement of litigation arising from the effort of the state to transfer the $110 million surplus of the New Hampshire Medical Malpractice Joint Underwriting Association (JUA) to the general fund. LRGHealthcare played a major role in challenging the ploy and was awarded $5.1 million when the policyholders' claim to the surplus was upheld by the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
