Woman pinned in her car after Dover crash

DOVER - A woman was sent to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries after driving off Back Road Wednesday night.

Police, firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the area of 191 Back Road at 10:53 p.m. after a Hyundai Accent drove off the road and into the trees.

The female driver was trapped in the car, and firefighters used hydraulic extrication equipment and were able to free her by 11:15 p.m., according to fire Capt. Troy Brown.

Brown said ambulance crews transported the woman, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, to Wentworth Douglass Hospital. He said firefighters left the scene at 11:47 p.m. after the vehicle was towed away.
