Parents of NH journalist kidnapped in Syria speak out

James Foley, aged 39, was working in northwest Syria with another journalist when they were kidnapped by unknown gunmen on 22 November, his parents said. The Foleys travelled to Milwaukee from their home in Rochester, New Hampshire, for a Friday night vigil for their son at Marquette University, where he studied history. He taught in Arizona, Massachusetts and Chicago before switching careers to become a journalist.
