Brookstone CEO resigns, COO moves up
Stephen Bebis, who joined Brookstone Inc. in May 2012, has resigned as president and CEO of Brookstone Inc., the company announced Thursday.

James M. Speltz , the company's vice president and chief operating officer, has been appointed as the company's new president and CEO. He joined the company in 1998.

"For more than 15 years, Jim has been intimately involved in many critical aspects of the company's operations. He has been a key driver of the company's new revenue initiatives in our retail, e-commerce and wholesale channels," said Jackson Tai, chairman of the board of the specialty products retailer.

Brookstone operates more than 250 stores nationwide and in Puerto Rico, primarily in shopping malls and airports. Its e-commerce business includes the Brookstone catalog and Brookstone.com.
