EPPING - Two drivers who were seriously injured in an accident at the intersection of Routes 125 and 87 on Thursday continue to recover in a Boston hospital.
Megan Barnes, 23, of Epping, remained in serious condition Friday afternoon while the second driver, Loretta Gynan, 26, of Nottingham, was listed in good condition, according to a spokesman at Boston Medical Center.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash, but said it appears that Barnes was traveling west in a 2010 Toyota Corolla and collided with Gynan's 2010 Mazda 6 heading south on Route 125.
Given the extent of their injuries, both women were flown by separate medical helicopters to Boston Medical Center.
No charges have been filed.
