MANCHESTER - A Nissan Pathfinder landed on its side near the intersection of Granite and Second streets after a crash Wednesday about 11:30 a.m.

The driver of the Nissan, Alicia Shaw, 27, of Manchester, sustained a serious injury to her arm and was taken by ambulance to Elliot Hospital. Police said the injury is not considered life-threatening. Her passenger, Lesley Slemp, 33, of Manchester, was also taken to the Elliot by ambulance, complaining of a back injury.

The other vehicle involved in the crash, identified as a Mercury Marquis operated by Maurice Boucher, 87, of Hooksett, had front-end damage, but Boucher was not injured.

Police said their preliminary investigation indicates the Nissan was northbound on Second Street and ran the red light when it entered the intersection of Granite Street and collided with the Mercury, traveling westbound on Granite Street.
