Keene street improvement project to begin on Monday

KEENE - An infrastructure improvement project focusing on Railroad, Foster and Grove streets is set to begin on Monday.

The project includes the replacement of underground utilities and the reconstruction of the roads in conjunction with new sidewalk and granite curbing.

Railroad Street work is to begin Monday from Harrison Street to the Courtyard Marriott and run until June 14.

Phase two of Railroad Street work, starting at the Marriott and continuing to Main Street is to start June 10 and continue until Aug. 2.

Grove Street work, from Marlboro to Foster streets, is to start Monday and continue until June 7.

Work on Foster Street is planned for Monday until June 7.

The city is asking people to be aware the streets will be closed to through traffic during working hours. Residents and businesses will have access.

Local businesses will remain open throughout the project.
