Hollis house hit by bullet

HOLLIS -- Police are investigating a report of a house being struck by a bullet Sunday afternoon.

Police received a call at 4 p.m. Sunday from a Route 111 residence which the caller claimed was struck by a bullet fired from a passing vehicle. The house number was not released by police Sunday night.

Police said they identified two possible suspect vehicles from a description given by the caller. One vehicle was an older foreign model sedan, colored tan or gold, headed towards Nashua. The other was a dark-colored minivan, traveling towards Massachusetts.

No injuries were reported, and as of Sunday night police had yet to determine if the bullet recovered at the home was fired from a rifle or a handgun.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Hollis police at 603-465-7637.
