Biship Guertin pitchers silence Dover

Bishop Guertin's Jeff Lunn, Quinn Dipasquale and Jason Ferlan combined to limit Dover, leading the Cardinals to a 3-1 victory on Saturday in Nashua.

Lunn hurled the first four innings, allowing eight singles and one run. Dipasquale followed with two scoreless innings, and Ferlan struck out two in the seventh to earn the save.

Matt Morais and Jeff Lunn each drove in a run for the winners.

Boys' Lacrosse

Longmeadow, Mass. 12, Pinkerton 11 (OT): Jake Lisauskas had a goal and six assists but Pinkerton Academy of Derry lost in overtime at host Longmeadow, Mass., Saturday in a non-league tilt.

Pinkerton received three goals from both Joshua Gallant and Dominic Corsetto. Pinkerton goalie Kenny Sturgess stopped 15 shots for 2-1 Pinkerton while Longmeadow improved to 5-0.

Girls' Lacrosse

Kearsarge 10, John Stark 5 (Friday): In Henniker at New England College, Kearsarge's defense was led by Gemma Bready, Christy Ross, Geneva Heffernan, Libby Brooks and Kate Scheuch.

John Stark goalie Clarissa Foote (17 saves) played well, but the Cougars' offense was sparked by Libby Brooks (four goals), Haley Rooks (two goals) and Caitlin Anderson (two goals). Lianna Blakeman and Gemma Brooks each scored once.
