NHIAA Roundup: Londonderry tips Souhegan in OT

Brendan Wall's overtime goal lifted Londonderry to an 11-10 Division I boys' lacrosse victory against Souhegan of Amherst Tuesday in Londonderry. Souhegan, which trailed 6-2 at halftime, led 10-9 before Londonderry (4-1) tied the game with 5:14 remaining in regulation on a goal from Rob Hart, who scored five times. Wall, cutting across the crease, scored the game-winner.

Blake Burnley led Souhegan (3-2) with five goals.

Derryfield 7, Pelham 2: In Manchester, unbeaten Derryfield (6-0) was led by Matt Milne's two goals. Jim O'Brien (three assists), Grant Alenson, Arthur Krogman, Griffin Phaneuf and Tyler Zorn each scored once. Harley Kearney and Steve Barton each scored for Pelham (3-2). Goalies Mitch Green of Derryfield and Jake Diaz of Pelham each had 18 saves.

Manchester West 15, Stevens 6: At Claremont, Jared Camire scored seven goals, John Child had four and Ryan Askham three to lead the Blue Knights (1-5) to their first win. Askham also had five assists, Zach Ziemba had four and Camire three. Talia Cote made 10 saves for West against 1-4 Stevens.

Bishop Guertin 18, Manchester Memorial 1: At Manchester, the Cardinals scored half of their goals in the first period and improved to 6-2. Alex Astarita led Bishop Guertin with four goals and Dillon Owens had a pair. Connor Donahue had three assists and Tom Hurley, Hunter Allen and Gage Sevigny had two apiece. The Crusaders fell to 0-4. Kyle VanDevorgart had eight saves for Memorial.



Girls' lacrosse



Souhegan 22, Manchester Memorial 4: At Amherst, Mickenzie Larivee and Madison Learned scored four goals each and Olivia Veillette and Jocelyn Donohue contributed three apiece for the 5-1 Sabers. Marina Lipson and Allie Chapmnan had two goals each. Larivee and Olivia Durling each had six assists. Memorial fell to 0-5.



Baseball



Derryfield School 3, Portsmouth Christian 2: In Manchester, Nick Regan pitched a complete game one-hitter and fanned five for the win. In 18-plus innings this season, Regan has 29 strikeouts and has allowed just 10 hits in three games.

Derryfield scored all its runs in the second inning. Noah Goldstein and Max Hatheway each scored on a passed ball and Chris Rizos added an RBI single.
