Post office alerts town to mailer denouncing Newington planner
NEWINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service said one of its officials inadvertently alerted town officials to a resident-created mailer denouncing Town Planner Tom Morgan. “The postmaster let it out of the bag,” said Mike Mazeau, who along with his wife, former Town Clerk Jane Mazeau, prepared a letter that proposes saving the town money by contracting out the town planner position instead of keeping Morgan in the role full-time. They had intended to send the letter to all town residents.
