NHIAA Roundup: Christian Bourgea paces Campbell to diamond win

Christian Bourgea highlighted a four-run, sixth-inning rally with a two-run double to lead the Campbell of Litchfield baseball team to a 7-3 victory against Pelham in Litchfield Wednesday.

The win was the fifth straight for the Cougars (6-2) who sent eight men to the plate in the sixth inning. The game was tied 3-3 when Cade Lacroix delivered a two-out, infield single. Bourgea followed with his two-run double and an error allowed Campbell to score its seventh run of the game.

Londonderry 3, Alvirne 1: At Hudson,a three-run fourth inning helped the Lancers raise their Division I record to 7-3. Zach Tavano drove in two of Londonderry's three runs. Mike Sirvydas collected Alvirne's only RBI.

Winnacunnet 7, Bedford 5: At Hampton, three Bedford errors allowed Winnacunnet to score three runs in the bottom of the sixth and pull out a come-from-behind victory. Winnacunnet's A.J. Schiappa had two hits, including a solo home run. The Warriors also received a double and a triple from T.J. Welch.

Andover, Mass. 10, Salem 8: At Andover, Mass., shortstop Nick Shumski collected two hits, but Salem committed seven errors and dropped to 4-5 in Division I. Jake White and Matt Survilas each drove in two runs for the Blue Devils.

Souhegan 16, John Stark 0: At Amherst, Tyler Ford had a monster day with a pair of home runs, one of them a grand slam in the first inning, to power the Sabers. Ford's second homer, a two-run blast, came in the second inning. He had seven runs batted in for the game.

Pembroke 11, Hanover 0: At Hanover, Shane St. Onge held Hanover to three hits in six innings to help Pembroke raise its Division II record to 6-2. The Spartans scored three runs in the fourth, five in the fifth and three in the sixth.

Belmont 15, Franklin 6: At Franklin, Belmont took control by scoring eight runs in the third inning. Franklin's Brandon Gagnon tripled, walked and stole two bases in the loss.

Softball

Bishop Guertin 17, Exeter 12: At Nashua, sophomomre Tori Dubois collected three hits, two of which were home runs, drove in five runs and scored three times to lead BG to victory. The Cardinals also received a home run from Gina Pustizzi.

Monadnock 17, Hinsdale 7: At Swanzey, Felicia Gaillardetz went four for four with two singles, a double and a triple and four runs batted in to lead the Huskies. Kitty Tolman and Stephanie Gonzalez each had three hits for Monadnock and Jenna Beaulieu made an outstanding diving catch in center field.

Londonderry 6, Alvirne 5: At Londonderry, winning pitcher Leah Hunt allowed only two earned runs. She walked two and fanned four. Londonderry rallied in the sixth inning as Colleen Lewis singled home Cassidy Litch with the tying run and Lauren Reinhold followed with a sacrifice fly to plate Lewis with the game-winner.

Central 8, Merrimack 0: At Manchester, Sarah Lavallee pitched a complete game two-hitter for 5-4 Central. She struck out nine batters. On offense, Lavallee collected three hits and drove in two runs and Colleen O'Hara had two hits and drove in two runs. Gabby Desjardins, Celina Therrien and Corinne Auger each had an RBI.

Girls' lacrosse

Keene 17, Nashua South 10: In Nashua, Peyton Wilnelm scored five goals and Katie Martin added four to lead Keene. Colleen Rottman tallied six goals for 0-5 Nashua South.
