May 16. 2013 11:11AM

MANCHESTER — Former New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney is joining the litigation practice group of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton Professional Association, the law firm announced Thursday.

“Mike will be able to apply his extensive litigation and government experience to regulatory and compliance matters for us,” said Dick Samuels, McLane’s managing partner, in a prepared statement.

Delaney served for the past four years as attorney general. Prior to his government experience, he worked for five years in private practice, focusing on business litigation.

Delaney has served on the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Ethics Committee, the New Hampshire Supreme Court’s Committee on Character and Fitness and on the Board of Directors of the Council of State Government’s Justice Center.

Last year, Delaney received a Hands of Hope leadership award from the Granite State Children’s Alliance, and earlier this year, he received the Honorable William D. Paine II Award from the Governor’s Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence. For the past four years, he has served on the board of directors of The Webster House, a private, nonprofit home for children in Manchester. He has coached softball and baseball in Manchester for the past seven years.

“Throughout my career, I have seen first-hand McLane’s depth and expertise in handling complex legal situations,” Delaney said in a press release. “I am most pleased to join such a strong team of attorneys that litigate matters not only in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, but also nationally.”

A member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Bar Associations, Delaney will serve McLane’s clients from the Manchester and Woburn, Mass., offices.

Delaney is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Originally from Massachusetts’ North Shore, he lives in Manchester with his wife and three children.

Delaney can be reached after May 28 at McLane’s Manchester office at (603) 628-1248 or at
