Campbell nine edges Hopkinton

Cody Caron singled home Christian Bourgea with the winning run in the seventh inning to lead Campbell of Litchfield to a 4-3 NHIAA Division III baseball triumph against host Hopkinton Wednesday.
Jackson Musco and Kyle Shaw each had RBI walks for Campbell (9-4) which has won eight of its last nine games.Derryfield 8, Portsmouth Christian 5: At Dover, Parker Blaisdell stole four bases, scored three runs and collected two RBIs to help Derryfield extend its Division IV winning streak to three games. The Cougars also received two hits from Jim Larson.Salem 8, Exeter 3: At Salem, the Blue Devils (5-12) were outhit 7-6, but took advantage of four errors and snapped their eight-game losing streak. First baseman Dominic Gigante hit a home run for Salem and he and Josh Perrault each had two runs batted in.Dan Morin alowed seven hits, struck out eight and walked one to earn the win. Jake Boria and Henrick Barbim each had two hits for Exeter (8-7).
Pembroke 14, Coe-Brown 5: At Northwood, Shane St. Onge gave up four hits and five runs, two of them earned, to lead the Spartans (10-4). Autrey Gates had three doubles for Pembroke, Jerry Caruso also had three hits and Vinny Dustin added a pair of doubles.Alvirne 3, Winnacunnet 2: At Hudson, freshman Danny Brown had three hits, including one that drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Senior Mike Sirvydas struck out five in three shutout winnings to pick up the win for Alvirne (8-7). Ben Garneau allowed six hits and took the loss for Winnacunnet (5-9).Pittsfield 11, Epping 0: At Epping, Pittsfield (11-3) jumped in front with five runs in the first inning and led 11-0 after three on the way to its fourth straight win.
Con-Val 6, Lebanon 5: At Peterborough, Taylor Doyle allowed two earned runs over six innings to lead the Cougars (8-4). Con-Val rallied for fuve runs in the fourth inning to grab the lead. Lebanon dropepd to 1-12.Softball
Central 14, Nashua South 0: In Nashua, Sarah Lavallee threw a four-hit shutout and struckout 10 batters. She walked no one. Celina Therrien led an 18-hit attack with four hits and drove in three runs. Corinne Auger had three hits and two RBIs. Lavallee, Gabby Desjardins, Ally Mayo and Colleen O'Hara each drove in two runs. Sam Desaulniers and Alex Pellerin each had two hits for 8-7 Central.Pinkerton 8, Memorial 0: In Derry, winning pitcher Sam Hennequin struckout 16 batters and walked one for the shutout win. Kelly Fitzsimmons collected two hits and drove in three runs for the 7-8 Astros. Memorial (0-14) had four hits, one each from Heather Mak, Michaela Demers, Haley Poitras and Heather Williamson.Windham 7, Oyster River 1: In Windham, Heather Tornquist collected three hits and drove in two runs for the Jaguars (9-4).
Bishop Guertin 5, Concord 4: The Cardinals (10-5) scored all their runs in the first inning to snap the Crimson Tide's seven-game win streak. Sophomore Kristin Terrazano allowed three hits in her four innings and got the win.Gilford 3, Farmington 0: At Farmington, Sydney Strout struck out the first eight batters she faced and 24 overall to lead Gilford (13-1). Nashua South 17, Manchester Central 5: In Nashua, Pat Goff tallied two goals and five assists for the Panthers (6-7). Wes Cunningham scored four times and teammates Max Serra and Devon Merrick each had three goals. Pinkerton 19, Windham 8: In Derry for Pinkerton (12-3), Kennedy scored six goals including her 100th career goal. Micaela Capozzo and Sierra Sanchez each scored three goals for the Astros.
