Fired Fitzwilliam chief on track to become officer in Hinsdale

Kassotis, who lives in Fitzwilliam and is popular with residents there, served as that town’s police chief from May 2007 until April 1 of this year, when Fitzwilliam selectmen voted not to renew his contract. The decision didn’t sit well with several residents, many of whom began attending selectmen’s meetings in force to demand answers.
