Father and son face numerous marijuana charges in New Durham
NEW DURHAM – A local father and son were arrested Tuesday and accused by police of producing and selling marijuana.
David Alan Thurston, 53, of 47 Middleton Road, was charged with attempting to manufacture a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug with the intent to sell, while Tyler Thurston, 22, who lives with him, was charged with manufacturing a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug.
They were both charged with conspiracy to manufacture drugs, falsifying physical evidence and conspiracy to falsify evidence.
After receiving information about the drug operation, officers from New Durham and Wolfeboro obtained a warrant to search the home along Middleton Road.
After their arrests, both men were held in Strafford County Jail in Dover. While Tyler Thurston was held without bail, David Thurston was held on $50,000 cash bail. They are both scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in 7th Circuit Court, Rochester District Division.
All charges are felonies, except for a misdemeanor charge of possession against Tyler Thurston.
