Hampton police search for hit-and-run driver


HAMPTON — Police are trying to find the driver of a car they say hit a motorcycle, seriously injuring two people, and drove away.

Police said a motorcycle was on an onramp to merge onto Route 101 on Sunday when it was hit by a car that may have been gold or silver in color. The car should be damaged on its passenger side and be missing its passenger side rear-view mirror, police said.

Both passengers on the motorcycle, whom police did not name in a release, suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 929-4444.
