More than a dozen writers to take part in Center Harbor Author Fair
CENTER HARBOR — Eighteen New England writers will take part in the third annual Author Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Bayswater Book Co., in Senter's Marketplace.
Authors, representing genres including children's literature, adult fiction, self help, sci-fi, mystery and local history, will include Michael Caduto, a master storyteller, ecologist, educator, poet and musician.
Caduto has been featured on educational television, over National Public Radio and by the British Broadcasting Corp. Though much of Caduto's work has been as an educator and writer of children's books, he also is the author of the book “A Time Before New Hampshire: The Story of a Land and Native Peoples,” in which he relates the Granite State's history from the formation of Earth 4.6 billion years ago through life in the 17th century.
Saturday's author lineup also will feature Ernest Hebert, KD Mason, Karen Bentley, Chris Casko, Catherine Dougherty, Mark Okrant, Lee Richmond, Edward Swanson, Shennen Bersani, Maggie Cary, Stacy DeKeyser, Rebecca Emberly, Lisa Greenleaf-Whittier, Jane Kohuth, Denise Ortakales and Marcia Strykowski.
Local favorite Karel Hayes will introduce and sign his new book, “The Weirs, A Winnipesaukee Adventure,” a follow-up to “The Witches: A Winnipesaukee Adventure,” which she illustrated for author Andy Opel.
