Items taken from Rochester vehicles

Police are urging residents to lock their vehicles after someone entered eight unlocked vehicles Friday and took items in plain view from two of them.
The thefts took place in the areas of Winter Street, Columbus Avenue and Signal Street, authorities said.
Investigators didn't say what was stolen.
Police are asking anyone who may have information that could assist with the investigation to contact the police department at 330-7128.
Information can also be provided anonymously by calling the Rochester Crime Line at 335-6500 or sending a text message to CRIMES (274637) and including in the body of the text TEXT4CASH + your tip.
Cash rewards are offered for information that leads to an arrest.
