CONCORD — "Fugitive of the Week" Benjamin Labrecque, 20, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Bronx, N.Y., on Wednesday.
This arrest was made after deputy marshals received tips indicating that Labrecque was residing in the Bronx. The New Hampshire fugitive task force coordinated Labrecque's arrest through the U.S. Marshals in New York, who arrested Labrecque without incident.
Labrecque had been wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Hillsborough County Superior Court for a probation violation stemming from an original conviction and sentence for robbery, criminal threatening and resisting arrest.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office had requested the assistance of the fugitive task force to find and arrest Labrecque. Labreque was the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force's featured "Fugitive of the Week" on May 9, which is seen on several outlets including the New Hampshire Union Leader.
Labrecque is being held in New York as a fugitive from justice, pending his return to New Hampshire.
