Eastman Golf Course’s Lisanne Schmidt paces NHWGA State Amateur field

Lisanne Schmidt of Eastman Golf Course of Grantham holds a three-shot first round lead in the 2013 New Hampshire Women’s Golf Association State Amateur Championship at Nashua Country Club.

The 54-hole stroke play continues with 18 holes today when the field will be cut to low 60 plus ties after 36 holes. The tourney concludes on Thursday.

Schmidt’s 34-38-72 round was three shots better than Tracy Martin (35-40-75) of Nashua CC. Looming four shots back is defending champion Dana Harrity (36-40-76) of Abenaqui of Rye.

Tied for fourth place are Colette Schmidt of Eastman (38-39-77) and Tracey Marshall of Abenaqui (37-40-77).

Ten shots back are 2011 champion Tara Watt of Derryfield CC (42-40-82) and Beth Hamilton of Pembroke Pines CC at 38-44-82.
