Nashua downs Lebanon, wins Jr. Legion title

Tournament MVP Ricky Constant pitched a complete game two-hitter to lead Nashua past Lebanon 5-2 for the New Hampshire American Legion Junior Baseball Tournament championship at Concord’s Memorial Field Tuesday.

Earlier in the day Josh Weiss pitched a complete game four-hitter to lead Lebanon past Exeter, 6-1.

Constant struck out eight batters and was supported by a five-run, third inning rally.

Sam McCarthy belted a two-run single followed by RBI doubles from Pat McDonnell and Jake Butler. Constant also contributed a sacrifice fly. Caleb Broughton drove in Lebanon’s two runs with a fifth inning single.

Lebanon pitcher Chase Hussey suffered the loss. He fanned seven and allowed eight hits in seven innings.

In the first game Weiss walked six and fanned three for the mound win. Ben Robinson, Bryar Roulliard, Brady Bates and Sam Hastings each had two hits for Lebanon. Gavin Daigneault had two hits for Exeter.
