Kyle Busch wins the Cheez-It 355

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — Kyle Busch finally won the one that got away.

A year after losing a chance at victory at Watkins Glen International on the last lap, Busch got a second chance and made it count.

Busch held off Brad Keselowski during three restarts in the final 10 laps to win Sunday's Cheez-It 355 at the Glen at Watkins Glen International.

The win is Busch's third victory in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this season and 27th of his career.

Martin Truex Jr. finished third, Carl Edwards was fourth and Juan Pablo Montoya was fifth.

Series points leader Jimmie Johnson ended up eighth.

Marcos Ambrose, who started on the pole, wasted no time in taking control of the race, leading the first 28 laps.

On Lap 14, Jeff Gordon spun while exiting the Esses area and slammed nose-first into the retaining wall. His car required extensive repairs in the garage but he did return to the track before the finish.

When Ambrose and several others made green-flag pit stops, Kevin Harvick took over the lead on Lap 31.

A caution was displayed on Lap 36 when Michael McDowell's car slowed on the track after breaking the track bar. On the restart on Lap 39, Harvick led followed by Ambrose and Kyle Busch.

Ambrose passed Harvick and returned to the lead on Lap 39.

A four-car accident on Lap 40 on the backstretch left oil covering the track. NASCAR red-flagged the race for over 22 minutes for the clean-up.

On the restart on Lap 43, Ambrose led the way followed by Kyle Busch and Harvick.

At the halfway mark with 45 laps completed, Ambrose continued to maintain a large lead.

After Ambrose made a green-flag pit stop, a caution was displayed when Aric Almirola slammed into the tire barrier. A.J. Allmendinger also ran out of fuel as he prepared to make a pit stop.

Four drivers ? Allmendinger, Ryan Newman, Paul Menard and Greg Biffle ? were penalized for driving down pit road when it was closed.

On the restart on Lap 64, Kyle Busch was the leader followed by Truex, Clint Bowyer and Keselowski. Ambrose lined up in 12th.

Travis Kvapil blew a tire which brought out the sixth caution of the race on Lap 78. On the restart on Lap 81, Kyle Busch remained in the lead followed by Keselowski and Truex.

Matt Kenseth, Ambrose and Kasey Kahne got together on the restart which sent Kahne spinning and Dale Earnhardt Jr. slammed into him. That brought out the seventh caution of the race.

On the restart on Lap 85, Kyle Busch continued to lead followed by Keselowski and Truex.

Right after the start, Ambrose appeared to get spun by Max Papis and hit the wall. Brian Vickers also got collected in the accident to bring out the eighth caution of the race. On the restart on 89, Kyle Busch maintained his lead.
