Farmington man faces charge over alleged stolen pistol in New Durham

NEW DURHAM — Police arrested a Farmington man Monday afternoon for allegedly stealing a pistol from a Merrymeeting Road residence.

Conrad Parent, 30, of Elm St. in Farmington, was charged with theft from a building after he allegedly took a Glock 9mm, a magazine and a holster from a local home.

Parent, who was held at the Strafford County Jail in Dover, was arraigned Tuesday. Bail was set at $5,000 cash, according to police.

Theft from a building is a Class A felony, and has a maximum sentence of 7½ to 15 years in prison.
