NEWBURY – A Claremont man is hospitalized in critical condition after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle Monday afternoon on Route 103.

Motorcyclist Toby Blanchard, 34, was heading west on Route 103 when he lost control and collided with a Toyota operated by Julie Bassi of Concord, which was making a left turn, according to police.

Blanchard was ejected from the motorcycle, and suffered serious injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon where he remains hospitalized in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Police said Bassi was not injured.
