Nashua's Kaleb Joseph commits to Syracuse basketball
Nashua native Kaleb Joseph, one of the top-rated high school point guards in the country, committed to Syracuse University on Saturday.
Joseph, who will be a senior at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., this season, had narrowed his choices to Syracuse, West Virginia and Providence College. Joseph and his parents took an official visit to Syracuse this weekend. He visited Providence last weekend and was scheduled to visit West Virginia on Sept. 27.
Joseph started for Nashua South as a freshman before transferring to Cushing Academy, where he repeated his freshman year. He led Cushing to the Class AA New England championship last season.
ESPN has Joseph ranked No. 51 among Class of 2014 basketball recruits.
Joseph joins another Syracuse recruit with New Hampshire ties. Brewster Academy's Chris McCullough, a forward, committed to the Orange last year.
