NASHUA – A city man is under arrest, accused of hitting a toddler in the head with a book because the boy was crying and wouldn't go to sleep.
Garrett McCormack, 26, was arrested Thursday night and charged with second-degree assault.
Lt. Francis Sullivan said McCormack knew and was caring for the child when he assaulted him.
The toddler was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a bloody lip and bruises about the head and face and then released.
McCormack is being held on $10,000 cash bail pending arraignment Friday in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
