City man has lightning scare at campground
"It wasn't raining. We heard very faint thunder in the distance but were barely aware of it, then there was one loud crack," Bonica said Monday at the Lakes Region campground. "It was really loud and you could feel vibration from it."
Bonica said the electricity from the strike was felt a good distance away, affecting a group of campers that included Deberardinis and a 14-year-old boy.
She said the teen returned to the campground Monday morning and the family packed up and went home.
