The Londonderry and Manchester offices of Hampshire First Bank will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 14, as the bank completes the final steps in its transition to NBT Bank, effective Sept. 16.
Existing Hampshire First Bank checks and other documents will still be honored, although customers are encouraged to acquire NBT Bank checks as soon as possible.
WASHINGTON — The percentage of small-business owners planning to hire more workers rose last month to its highest level since 2007, according to the National Federation of Independent Business.
DETROIT — U.S. safety regulators are investigating incidents of stalling in Ford Motor Co Focus electric cars after receiving 12 consumer complaints.
Half of the incidents occurred at speeds above 30 miles per hour, and all of the complaints were received within the past five months, according to NHTSA. No accidents or injuries were reported.
A preliminary evaluation is the first step in a process that could lead to a recall should regulators determine that a safety issue needs to be addressed by a manufacturer.
