Wilson leads rain-shortened state Mid-Am

Brett Wilson fired a four-under-par 66 to lead the first day of the rain-shortened NHGA Mid-Amateur on Friday at Cochecho Country Club in Dover.

The event will end Saturday after 36 holes. It was originally set as a 54-hole tournament.

Wilson, of Golf Club of New England in Stratham, carries a one-stroke lead over Phil Pleat of Nashua Country Club and Josh Chamberlain of Crotched Mountain club in Francestown. Chris Rivard of Candia Woods is two strokes off the pace.
