A behind the scenes story of the Dominican Republic

MILFORD — Life in the Dominican Countryside, presented by Julie Baker and Roberto Deaza, will be on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the Milford Methodist Church, North River Road.

The presenters will share the story of the women and children of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

Also, learn how the sewing co-op Sewing My Future plans to demonstrate a new standard for socially responsible manufacturing in the Dominican Republic.

Tropical island refreshments will be provided, as well as the opportunity to learn Merengue, the music and dance of the Dominicans.
