Avalanche claim Cliche off waivers

The Colorado Avalanche on Sunday claimed Marc-Andre Cliche, the Manchester Monarchs’ captain for the last three years, via waivers.
 Cliche, 26, spent the last six years in the AHL with the Monarchs. In 341 career AHL games, Cliche has registered 68 goals and 83 assists for 151 points.

Also Sunday, the Los Angeles Kings loaned right wing Brandon Kozun and defenseman Andrew Campbell to Manchester.

On Saturday, the Kings announced the following players were loaned to Manchester: defensemen Colin Miller and Nick Deslauriers, centers Andy Andreoff, Jordan Weal and Robbie Czarnik, wingers Brian O’Neill and Max Kitsyn, and goalies Martin Jones and J.F. Berube.

Assigned to Manchester training camp were goalie Mathias Niederberger, right wings Cam Maclise and Scott Sabourin, and defenseman Vincent LoVerde. Reassigned to the junior team was Valentin Zykov, a right wing, who went to Baie-Comeau of the QMJHL.
