Single company emerging as engine for forestry industry in North Country

Plant manager Steve Halle noted Milan Lumber is owned by Richard Carrier who also owns R.J. Chipping in Shelburne and will be supplying all the low-grade wood for the Burgess BioPower biomass plant in Berlin. He said Carrier is the forest economic engine for the region.
