Southern New Hampshire U. women blanked by Merrimack

Merrimack College scored in the 54th minute to post a 1-0 Northeast-10 women’s soccer victory over visiting Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday night.
The Warriors upped their record to 4-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 3-3-1 and 0-2-1 in the league.

After a scoreless first half, the hosts scored the game’s lone goal when Jenna Savi scored off a feed from Katie Bresciani for her third goal of the season.

SNHU keeper Samantha Whittier turned aside a pair of shots as the Warriors outshot the Penmen 14-11.

SNHU returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Southern Connecticut State University for a 5 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
