Power Poll: Concord strengthens grip on No. 1; Exeter slips again

Concord, which last week received five of a possible six first-place votes in balloting by representatives of the three statewide media outlets, this week became a unanimous No. 1, with No. 2 Bedford, No. 3 Nashua South and No. 4 Pinkerton also retaining their ranking.

The top three teams are 5-0. Pinkerton is 4-1.

The biggest change in the poll is at No. 5, with Bishop Guertin of Nashua (4-1) replacing former No. 1 Exeter (3-2), which lost for the second straight week, this time to South. Exeter is now seventh, one spot behind unbeaten Plymouth, one of two Division II teams in the top 10.

Rounding out the poll are Keene (3-2), Spaulding of Rochester (3-2) and Division II Trinity of Manchester (4-1).

Also receiving votes were Portsmouth (4-1), Winnacunnet of Hampton (3-2) and St. Thomas Aquinas of Dover (5-0).
