Londonderry father and son face drug charges

LONDONDERRY -- An 18-year-old and his father are facing drug charges after police found what they described as a marijuana growing enterprise at their home.

Police had a warrant to search the home of Brandon Castiglione, 18, for stolen property when the officers noticed marijuana and paraphernalia sitting in the open.

“Upon entering residence it became obvious there was something else going on,” Detective Christopher Olson said Monday.

The officers updated the warrant and found significant amounts of marijuana, jars, baggies, grow lights, boxes that had been used as racks to dry the plants and hallucinogenic mushrooms during the raid on Sept. 30.

Castiglione is charged with possession and felony counts of manufacturing a controlled drug and possession with intent to distribute. He is being held on $100,000 cash bail.

His father, Mark Castiglione, 54, was charged with being in control of a property where drugs were kept.
