MANCHESTER - FairPoint Communication said problems with its DSL Internet service have been fixed, and the outage impacted only a small number of its New Hampshire customers -- about 2,000.
Company spokesman Jeff Nevins said the problem had been fixed in a message left with a reporter at 9:46 a.m.
"The outage was caused by a faulty router card," he said.
A telephone message that FairPoint left for customers earlier this morning said the entire state was experiencing connectivity issues.
Nevins said the company does not adjust customer bills in the case of a brief Internet outage.
