Pair charged in frat theft

Two New York City men were arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing laptop computers and backpacks from Dartmouth College students in Hanover this week. Four members of the Psi Upsilon fraternity reported three laptops, three backpacks and other items stolen from their 7 West Wheelock St. fraternity house between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Hanover said they developed information that suggested members of a band from New York City may be responsible. Police said they recovered the stolen items from two men and a vehicle.Raymond Fredson, 20, and Jean Charles, 25, each are charged with three counts of receiving stolen property, police said. The pair were arraigned Friday in 2nd Circuit Court – Lebanon.
