State Supreme Court: No hearing for liquor warehouse suit
CONCORD — The state Supreme Court has refused to get involved in a court case brought by Law Warehouses of Nashua over the loss of its warehousing business with the New Hampshire Liquor commission.
Last month, the Supreme Court said it would not hear a challenge from Law over the refusal of a Superior Court judge to grant an injunction to halt the transfer of the Liquor Commission business from Law to Exel of Westerville, Ohio.
A petition filed by Law’s lawyers was denied on Sept. 25 by four justices.
Law has brought court action against the Liquor Commission over the loss of the contract and sought an injunction before the case goes to trial. However, Superior Court Judge Diane Nicolosi wrote that that Law failed to produce compelling evidence of favoritism or material deviation from bidding requirements.
